İyi konuşanlar, hemen her yerde iyi karşılanırlar. Derdimizi başkalarma anlatabilmek de bizim için önemlidir. Bu fırsattan faydalanmamak, zihin çalışmasının bozulmasına sebep olduğu gibi, insanı cinnete kadar götürebilir, bunun içindir ki kanun nazarında verilmesi mümkün cezalarm en kötüsü tek başına bir yere hepsedilmektir. Fikirlerin samimi, riyasız, gerçeğe uygun olması, konuşmayı iyi kılan vasıflardandır; gevezelik, kavgacılık, gibi şeyler hakkında saçma sapan konuşma hemen hiçbir yerde tutunamaz.

İyi bir konuşmacı olabilmek için tutulacak yol, önce samimi ve dürüst, aynı zamanda vaziyeti hâlin icaplarını kavrayarak anlayışlı olmaktır.

Şimdi de sözlü anlatımın öğretmen ve öğrenciler tarafından uygulanması üzerinde duralım: Sözlü ve yazılı anlatım için ders saatleri ayrı olmamalıdır. Yani metin üzerinde yapılan anlama etkiliğinden normal bir hava içinde anlatım etkiliğine geçilmeli. Sözlü ya da yazılı anlatıma girilmelidir.

Metin çözümlenmesi sırasında anlatım etkinliği içinde bulunulduğu unutulmamalı, anlama veya anlatma etkinliği iç içe kaynaştırılarak yürütülmelidir.

Ama bu; okuma parçasının olay ve düşüncelerini yani konusunu bölmeden, dağıtmadan yapılmalıdır.

Metnin dil ve anlatım özelliği açıklatılırken öğrencinin yaşayışında, kendi dilinden örneklerle karşılıştırmalar yaptırılarak dil ve anlatımın niteliklerini somutlaştırarak, sözlü ve yazılı denemeler ve eliştiriler yaptırılmalıdır.
